API Documentation

We are excited to introduce a completely redesigned SolarWinds Service Desk Rest API Guide. The API calls allows customers and developers to expand and build on the SolarWinds Platform.

With this new user friendly layout you can:

  • View step-by-step code examples to utilize for online modifications
  • Enjoy easier search and navigation capabilities to integrate third-party apps with your SWSD and much more.

Click here to see the new and improved API Guide.

Agents Can Resend Tasks Approval Requests

You can resend approval requests to service agent users even if you’re not an admin. Rather than letting processes fall behind, if you notice and approval has gone unanswered, simply navigate to the Process tab of the relevant request and click the envelope icon next to the approval task you wish to resend.

Reports enhancement

As we always look to improve your user experience, we have made additional enhancements to the Reports section that are now available as a lab feature called Reports UI Updates & Zoom-In Functionality.

Automatic Mapping of Orion nodes

We have enhanced the details of the Incidents created in your SWSD that are pulling from data from Orion. This will allow you to benefit from:

  • Improved speed and efficiency
  • Reduced risk of human error.
  • A higher ITIL maturity process throughout your organization by providing the asset node ID for each incident created.
